Have you ever gone on a road trip with no road map? No trip itinerary in hand with no set times and dates to be anywhere? Growing up, I always saw my mom as the vigilant planner who had a time and place to be at every moment. Exactly how things were going to be. Watching her hands move across her keyboard to set dates and places in stone on her home made road trip checklists and planners. But present day, I've noticed the biggest change in her. She has gone carefree and open. Roadtrips without plans and destinations loosing their main importance. If we see a sight of beauty, we stop to enjoy it. If something of interest captures our attention, we go off the popular path and go on our own detours. This is how I want to live my life. This is how I want to be known as. The traveler spirit with no itinerary and no set destination. Just traveling on my own path.
